Join the "Typing Club" to Increase Your WPM: Keyboarding

Does typing a paper or assignment take forever? Want to hone your typing skills to increase your words per minute? If you answered "YES" to either of those questions, you are in luck! There are great FREE keyboarding and typing programs available online.

I tested out lots of free typing resources and narrowed them down to two: Type Fu (think Kung Fu) and Typing ClubType Fu and Typing Club are my top picks because they are FREE, user friendly, and give you feedback about your abilities. Both Typing Club and Type Fu are available as Chrome extensions for the Google Chrome Internet browser!

Typing Club
Typing Club is a FREE online typing tutor. Typing Club gives you valuable feedback to help you increase your typing speed.

You can can pick the letters, numbers, or symbols lesson you want to complete. You can also choose advance levels with different WPM (Word Per Minute) goal levels.


This is an example of a lesson focusing on jfkd.  

The finger you will use to type the letter is highlighted in blue. The letter you are typing is outlined in a grey box.

The letters typed correctly show up in green. The letters typed incorrectly show up in red. Your speed and accuracy are displayed during the lesson.

This is an image of the results of a lesson.

After each lesson you receive a more in depth summary of your accuracy and speed.  It breaks down each letter and finger with accuracy and WPM scores. It also shows you your speed in a graph throughout the session.



 This is an example of a more advanced level with a 26 WPM goal.

In the WPM goal lessons letters, numbers, and symbols are used.  The lesson complication increases with number.
